Q: I registered with a credit card and paid the deposit. How do I go about paying my balance?
A: Unless you opted out of auto-billing, the card you used to pay the deposit will be charged for the balance on the account on July 1st. If you would like to log in and pay before then or you opted out of auto-bill, you can log back in to pay the balance via the email you received when you set up your account.
Q: Where do camp sessions take place?
A: All camp sessions for 2017 will take place in the PMAC. We will have courts on the main floor and we will also use the practice facility on the north side of the building.
Q: How are the dorm rooms set up? How many campers stay in each room?
A: The maximum number of campers we can assign to each room is TWO. Two rooms share a bathroom to make up a suite. Campers may request more than one roommate to indicate that they wish to share a suite. Please list roommate requests in the order that you would prefer. Don’t have a roommate request? Don’t worry; we’ll find a roommate for you. In case of a group of three, one person will probably share a room with a camper from another school or club team. If Camper A and Camper B list each other’s name first, they will almost always be put together. We do our best to match roommates up to make everyone happy, but it is not always perfect.
Q: I forgot to request a roommate for my camper during registration or need to change the request we made. What should I do?
Q: What is the supervision like in the dorms? What about security?
A: We take camper safety very seriously at Tiger Volleyball Camp. That is why we do our best to make sure that the expectations are set clearly among camp staff and campers as to what will be allowed and what to do if someone feels like something is not quite right. The dorms can only be entered with a key card, which each camper will receive at check-in. Each wing can only be opened with a keycard that belongs to that wing. Camp staff members remain in the common area of the dorm from early in the morning until well after room checks each night. At least one camp staff member stays on each wing of each floor in the dorm, and their doors are marked so that campers know whom to contact if they should need help. Emergency phone numbers are also posted on every wing.
Q: Will my child be allowed to move about campus on her own?
A: Campers are NOT allowed to travel from place to place unsupervised. Groups are formed during the first session in the gym and any time we move between the gym, the dorm, and the dining hall, we travel in these groups.
Q: Is Wi-fi available in the dorm?
A: Unfortunately, no, unless the camper has access to an LSU ID and password. Some parents choose to send their camper with a cell phone. Some enjoy the peace and quiet while knowing that their daughter is in good hands!
Q: What is the $20 volleyball pre-order option in online registration?
A: We have LSU volleyballs (full size) available for purchase at camp. If you know ahead of time that you would like to purchase an LSU volleyball, please select this option. You will not be charged for the volleyball when you register. Instead, we will have a volleyball ready for you at check-in. You can pay for the ball with cash, check, or money order.
